      Front Club Casual is defined as casual coat and collared shirt for men (tie optional); similar attire for women. Men may remove jackets if appropriate for weather conditions.

      Business Casual Attire is a relaxed version of Business Dress, where “jackets are requested but not required.” Jeans, athletic attire, cargo pants, running shoes, hiking boots, shirts without collars, and similar casual attire are not allowed.

      Casual Attire is defined as collared shirt and slacks without a tie or jacket for men and similar attire for women. T-shirts, tank tops, cut-offs, halters, tube tops, strapless tops, short shorts, skirts more than four inches above the knee, flip-flops, and ball caps are not allowed in any area of the Club. All clothing worn must be in good repair. Men’s shirts with shirttails must be tucked in at all times. Resort-style shirts with straight bottom hems may be worn untucked.

      Athletic Attire and blue jeans are not acceptable in any area of the Club other than the Sports Club and the Armstrong Grill. Members of a uniformed organization such as military or police may be attired in the dress uniform of the day. Members of the clergy may be attired in customary clerical garb.

      The management and supervisory staff of the Club are responsible for enforcement of the Dress Code, which is established by the Board of Governors, in all areas of the Club. It is the responsibility of any Member inviting a guest into the Club to inform such guest of the requirements of the Dress Code. Members or guests who do not comply with the dress code may be asked to leave the Club. Repeated or willful violations of the dress code will be brought to the attention of the House Committee.

      The intent of the dress code is to provide guidelines within which each Member is expected to demonstrate discretion, good judgment, and respect for their fellow members.

From the Airport

Take 390 North to 490 East towards downtown and get off at exit 17, Goodman Street. Turn left on to Goodman and proceed past four lights to East Avenue. Turn left on East Avenue. The building is before the next intersection (Alexander Street) on the left side with a white fence, 421 East Avenue.

From the East

Take the Thruway to exit 45. Take 490 West towards downtown at exit 17, Goodman Street. Turn right on Goodman and proceed past four lights to East Avenue. Turn left on East Avenue. The building is before the next intersection (Alexander Street) on the left side with a white fence, 421 East Avenue.

From the West

Take the Thruway to exit 47. Take 490 East to exit 17, Goodman Street. Turn left on to Goodman and proceed past four lights to East Avenue. Turn left on East Avenue. The building is before the next intersection (Alexander Street) on the left side with a white fence, 421 East Avenue.

Parking

Club Members and their guests may use our lot, which is accessible from East Avenue and Alexander Street. The Genesee Valley Club parking lot is only for Members of the Club, their spouses and invited guests, and only while they are using the Club. Service staff and Coutesy Service are available for those with special needs. Please contact the Front Desk for assistance.
